Jane's 90-Day Decluttering Challenge!

Thirteen weeks to a simpler, more joyful life

Clutter abounds! Visible or hidden, it keeps us stuck in the past and robs us of our peace of mind.

We bring to you Jane's 90-Day Decluttering Challenge! 
Join us for this 13-week challenge in which we’ll work together to clear out clutter in our lives, providing space for more life-giving possibilities to emerge. We will provide you with some basic materials at the outset and provide on-going support with regular check-in sessions, and other opportunties. Most of the value will come from the simple commitment you make to yourself to develop an on-going habit of performing 10 minutes of decluttering a day, as well as being part of a community of peers providing both inspiration and accountability along the way.
 

 

LAUNCH AND COMPLETION SESSIONS:
This 12-week challenge will launch and complete with 90-minute Zoom sessions. Choose the launch date that works best for you, or watch a recording later.

 

Launch Sessions: 

At these launch sessions, you will have an opportunity to meet other challenge participants and learn more about various opportunities for support.

Dates and times:
Monday, June 17, 5:00pm - 6:30pm

Tuesday, June 18, 11:30am - 1:00pm


Completion Sessions: 

At the completion sessions, you will have an opportunity to connect with other challenge participants, share about your experience and learnings, and celebrate your accomplishments.

 

Dates and times:
Monday, Sept. 16, 5:00pm - 6:30pm (with in-person option followed by social/celebration)

Tuesday, Sept. 17, 11:30am - 1:00pm


 

OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUPPORT:

There are a variety of opportunities for support. Choose whichever ones speak to you..
 

Regular Check-in Sessions:

We'll hold 30-minute check-in sessions on Zoom each week, alternating between Monday at 5:00pm one week and Tuesday at 11:30am the next. Attend as often as you'd like. We strongly recommend attending a check-in session at least every other week, and ask that you commit to participating in at least one session a month.
 

Dates and times:
Every other Tuesday, 11:30am - 12:00pm, beginning June 25​

6/25, 7/9, 7/23, 8/6, 8/20, 9/3

Every other Monday, 5:00pm - 5:30pm, beginning July 1

7/1, 7/15, 7/29, 8/12, 8/26, 9/9 

Super Saturday Sessions:
Super Saturdays are an opportunity to set aside a large block of time to commit to decluttering alongside others doing the same. We’ll do a check in over Zoom at the start and end of each session. Learn more.

 

Dates and times:
July 13, 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm
August 3, 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm
September 7, 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm


 

Partner Pairings:
You may choose to be paired with another participant as an accountability partner. Or, recruit a friend to join you for the challenge. How you work together to support one another is up to you, but here are some suggestions.


 

JANE’S 90-DAY DECLUTTERING CHALLENGE LEVELS:

These are suggested challenges. You may adjust them to suit your situation and your desired results, for example adding 30 additional minutes of decluttering a week, or one Super Saturday session a month. Choose the level that feels right for you, and commit to it. 

 

Basic Challenge:

  • 10-minutes of decluttering a day (15 hours of decluttering)

  • Attend at least one check-in session a month (two are recommended)

  • Total decluttering time: 15 hours

 

Advanced Challenge:

  • 10-minutes of decluttering a day (15 hours of decluttering)

  • an average of 1 additional hour of decluttering a week (13 hours)

  • Attend at least two check-in sessions a month

  • Total decluttering time: 28 hours

 

Super Challenge:

  • 10-minutes of decluttering a day (15 hours of decluttering)

  • an average of 2 additional hours of decluttering a week (26 hours)

  • Attend at least two check-in sessions a month

  • Total decluttering time: 41 hours

Additional challenges to consider:

  • Acquire no additional material possessions during the challenge period

  • Purchase nothing brand new outside of groceries and perishables
    (if a need comes up, borrow from someone or acquire second hand)

  • Limit amount of distractions that are common for you
    (i.e. news, social media, surfing the web, watching tv, etc.)

  • Your own personal challenge

A suggested $30 donation to the St Jane House helps us to make this and other offerings available to all, regardless of financial resources. Please contribute at the level that you are able and inspired.

To register, choose the launch date that works best for you. If neither works, register under your preferred on-going check-in day (Monday or Tuesday), and we will provide you with a recording of the launch event that you can view on your own. You may choose to attend any regular check-ins that you wish regardless of which launch event you choose to register for.
